For starters, our climate controlled facilities allow us to build 12 months of the year, without exposure to rain and moisture. Our homes are never delayed by bad weather, material delivery mishaps or unreliable sub-contractors. Our experienced workforce and quality control process assures that your new home meets all code requirements and is built to the highest standards. Our homes are built to the same building codes as site built homes and are erected on a permanent engineered foundation system, just like a site built home. And, the framing for our modular homes is the same as a traditional home except we use additional lumber to guarantee a safe delivery to the site plus the handling by a crane once there. In essence, our modular homes are stronger, sturdier, and over engineered in order to withstand the transportation and installation process.
Virginia Homes Building Systems uses high quality materials in our homes, the same materials and name brands found in most upper end stick built homes. If desired, you can also choose from a multitude of upgrade options including hardwood floors, granite countertops, fireplaces and more. Additionally, your builder can offer a number of on-site options such as garages, decks, patios, and brick or stone siding.
Our homes are also energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Every home built by Virginia Homes Building Systems meets or exceeds government guidelines and codes for energy efficiency by using thermal pane windows and elevated levels of insulation. Because our homes are about 80% complete when they are delivered, you’ll have less waste at the actual job site, reducing unnecessary trash disposal and landfill use.
Modular constructed homes qualify for the same mortgage programs offered for traditional site built homes and insurance companies make no distinction between modular and traditional construction. And, because modular construction is faster, you’ll save considerable money on your construction loan.
