Meet With a Local Authorized Builder.
  • Virginia Homes Building Systems works with independent builders who understand the local building codes and have been approved in your area. The builder will discuss a budget and review the entire process, including a timetable to complete the project.
Financing
  • Virginia Homes Building Systems can direct you to a number of banks and financial instituations who offer both construction and long term financing for your new home. These lenders will work closely with you to develop the best loan to fit your needs and budget.
Design.
  • Virginia Homes Building Systems offers a number of home plans in various styles and sizes. Our professional staff and your builder will work with you to modify one of our plans or help you develop your own.
Finalizing Your Order.
  • Once you've decided on a design, your builder will place the order with our manufacturing facility. You'll need to finalize your financing, select exterior colors, floor coverings, countertops, etc. prior to the home construction.
Building Your Home.
  • Upon completion of the building permit process, your builder with start the home foundation at the same time the factory begins construction of your home. In just a few weeks, your home is completed and ready to deliver to the home site.
Delivery and Set Up.
  • Your home is built in modules that are delivered to your home site by truck where an experienced site crew carefully lifts each module and secures them in place to your foundation. In very short order, your home is set, secured and weather tight.
Finishing Touches.
  • Your local builder can now begin the process of completing your home. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC hook-up are completed along with the addition of any porches, garages, walkways, driveways and exterior siding. Finally, some minor finishes such as installing appliances, painting, and adding additional floor coverings are wrapped up inside while completion of water,sewer, and landscaping are finalized outside.
Final Inspection.
  • Once your home is completed, it's time for the final inspection from your local building official. Upon approval, a Certificate of Occupancy is required, and then it's time to move into your new home.
